{June 15, 2006}   Free Verse Poem

he sat there all alone,

wishing what he could do,

could he play a game,

no because he was all alone,

a little fat kid came up to him,

he offered him a game,

the skinny kid,

through a punch,

into the fat kids face,

then the fat kid fell to the ground,

with a thud,

then the teacher came along,

and the fat kid got up,

skinny boy skin pulled out a gun,

and blew off the teachers ear,

Fat boy fat tried to run,

but skinny boy skin made it fun,

he shot at fats kids fat arse,

and made him dance,

fat kid fat got very mad,

he pulled out a boost bar,

for ultimate happiness,

He then picked up a stick,

swang it at skinny kid skin,

he missed and got shot,

sucked in chubby chub chub said skinny kid skin.

  1. Stereotypes affect Jess’s life because her family think she should be planing to get marred and have a family and things like that instead of playing soccer.
  2. I think there are lots of stereotypes in Australia like people thinking that girls should and make them self’s look good and be really thin and not play football and not to muck around like guy do and that they should do all the shopping and things like that.
  3. Well with my
Nan and that they think I should be a little girly girl because I’m there only granddaughter so I shouldn’t muck around with the guys to much.
  4. Yes I think the media and partly responsible because they make it seem really good for people to all look the same and dress the same and do everything the same but what good would a world be if people were exactly the same as everyone else.

{April 20, 2006}   Stereotypes

How being thought of a stereotype could affect your life or career choices.

If you had a very posh stereotype it could ba harder to find a job because of the way you act as in things like not wonting to get your hands dirty or you may not do as well at a cash register because you don't like to talk to some people bacause of the they look or act and people do not like to hire people who act like that.

All so having a stereotype of not caring how you look or smell could affect your getting a job or a partner because people like the it if you talk a bit of care in your personal hygiene because they dont wont you to come in to work or anywhere if you smell really bad or have dirt on your face and hands and they will respect you more if you talk more care in the way you look.

{March 31, 2006}

I wanted to write a poem for you
But couldn't rhyme the words
I wanted to sing a song for you
But couldn't charm the birds

I wanted to see you look at me
But couldn't see your face
I wanted to walk forever with you
But couldn't keep your pace

I wanted to have you by my side
But couldn't find you there
I wanted to hear your voice
The pain was more than I could I bear

I wanted to hold you in my arms
Just one more time tonight
I wanted to have you here with me
To know that it's alright

I wanted to look at the stars
But couldn't see past the sun
I wanted to look into your eyes
And tell you you're the one
